PERIMENOPAUSE CARE
When the changes do not feel like you
Perimenopause is the transition leading to menopause. It often begins with changes in cycle timing or flow, but it can also bring hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, vaginal dryness, changes in libido, headaches, or difficulty concentrating.
These symptoms may be related to the menopause transition, but fatigue, mood changes, and irregular bleeding can also have other causes. We evaluate the full picture rather than attributing every concern to hormones.
Your consultation
We review cycle patterns, symptoms, medical and family history, medications, contraception needs, and health goals. Testing is selected when it can help answer a clinical question—not ordered as a substitute for a careful history.
Treatment
Options may include symptom-specific strategies, contraception, nonhormonal medication, vaginal treatment, or systemic hormone therapy when appropriate.
